Privacy Policy

Important Notice

The protection of your personal data is of particular importance to us. We therefore process your data exclusively in accordance with legal requirements (GDPR, TKG 2003). Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and process your personal data through our website, other sales platforms, and at events. We encourage you to read our Privacy Policy as well as our Terms of Use.

BY USING OUR SERVICES, YOU CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION, USAGE AND TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR PROCESSING WITHIN THE EU AS DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY.

Note for individuals residing in the European Union: To comply with the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European consumers and users, this Privacy Policy explains the legal basis on which we process your personal data and provides additional information required by the GDPR.

Information About Your Personal Data

This Privacy Policy applies to your data, your devices, and your interaction with our services.

“Personal data” refers to information that can be used to identify you directly or indirectly, either on its own or in combination with other information. This includes information such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, precise location, device IDs, and certain cookie and network identifiers.

Collection, Processing, and Use of Personal Data

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. We only store non-personal access data, such as the name of your Internet service provider. This data is analyzed solely to improve our services and does not allow us to identify you personally.

Personal data is collected only if you voluntarily provide it to us when contacting us, placing an order, opening a customer account, registering for our newsletter, or entering a contest. We use the data you provide without your separate consent exclusively to fulfill and process your order. Once the contract has been fully executed and the purchase price has been paid in full, your data will be blocked from further use and deleted after the retention periods required by tax and commercial law have expired, unless you expressly consent to the continued use of your data. When you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address will be used for our own promotional purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time.

SSL or TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential information, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar. When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Server Log Files

Server log files consist of anonymous data collected when you access our website. This information does not allow us to identify you personally, but is essential for technical reasons to deliver and display our content. It is also used for statistical purposes and to continuously optimize our content. Typical log files include the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, the browser and its version used for access, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider, the page from which you arrived at our site (referrer URL), and your IP address. Log files also enable a thorough investigation in the event of suspected unlawful use of our website.

Contact Us

If you contact us via the form on our website or by email, we will store the information you provide for six months to process your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke this consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal email. The lawfulness of the data processing operations carried out prior to revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Subscription data

If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter offered on this website, we need your email address, first name, and last name, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. No other data is collected, or is collected only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not share it with third parties.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter sign-up form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke your consent to the storage of your data and email address, as well as their use for sending the newsletter, at any time – for example, via the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawful nature of data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by this revocation.

The data you have provided for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted upon cancellation. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g., email addresses for the members’ area) remains unaffected by this.

Data Storage

Please note that, to simplify the shopping process and facilitate subsequent contract fulfillment, the online store operator stores the IP address of the internet connection owner via cookies, as well as the buyer’s name, address, email address, phone number, and credit card number.

The data you provide is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the carrying out of pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot execute the contract with you. Data is not transferred to third parties, with the exception of credit card data, which is transmitted to the processing banks/payment service providers for the purpose of charging the purchase price, to the shipping company we have commissioned for the delivery of the goods, and to our tax advisor to fulfill our tax obligations.

If the shopping process is canceled, the data stored by us will be deleted. Upon conclusion of a contract, all data related to the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiration of the tax retention period (7 years).

In addition, the data – including name, address, purchased goods, and purchase date – will be stored until the expiration of the product liability period (10 years). Data processing is carried out in accordance with the legal provisions of Section 96(3) of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) as well as Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and/or (b) (necessary for the performance of a contract) of the GDPR.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device using your browser. They do not cause any harm. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser upon your next visit. Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process or for providing specific functions you have requested (e.g., the shopping cart feature) are stored in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

If you do not wish cookies to be set, you can adjust your browser settings to inform you when cookies are set and to allow them only on a case-by-case basis. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16. If you notice that a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us via office@finkensteiner.at. If we discover that a child under the age of 16 has provided us with personal data without parental consent, we shall take steps to remove the data and delete the child’s account.
